Cecconi's alleged Homophobic Manager Tells Gays They Will Not be Served:

An established gentleman in the community & his companion who both frequently travel for work decided to treat themselves to a fancy meal for two at Cecconi's. It was actually the couple's first date together & an unforgettably embarrassing one at that.

Once seated the two began to settle in by trading the usual get to know you better questions when another gay couple arrived at the restaurant for dinner. It's a small gay world & one of the guys recognized the other two diners. The couples exchanged the typical "Darlings, Hello how are You?" Shortly after the greeting Kim, the manager at Cecconi's, allegedly approached the the gays telling them that "We won't be serving you because you are gay."

We called Kim & asked her if their story was true at which point she said the owner would call us back with an official statement. We never got that phone call after waiting 3 days and we're concerned that Cecconi's has become an anti-gay establishment managed by a homophobic woman named Kim who may not even be an American citizen.

We highly recommend you attempt to dine at this establishment in the most flamboyant attire you can find or in drag & we will do the same. Let's put these alleged fag haters to the test & then sue them when they refuse us service based on our sexual preference. We would be perfectly happy if their business was picketed & forced to relocate out of the rainbow city!!

Both of the parties we spoke to told us that they had never experienced such blatant homophobia in their entire lives & that they left the alleged anti-gay establishment shocked & in tears last Sunday night.

We smell a lawsuit.....

    1. This story about Cecconi's sounds very untrue. The entire staff is always very friendly and welcoming. They have gay staff and management and also many diners are part of the LGBT community. Total sham of a story.

  4. Yes, I am sure the incident happened *exactly* as described. Because if there's one thing we know homophobes do, it's open lavish restaurants in West Hollywood and then approach gay customers with the phrase "We won't be serving you because you are gay."

    Bitch please..!

I don't know what kind of agenda is being served here but this story is ridic. While something homophobic may have been spewed by someone that night, I have much difficulty it happened as stated above.

  7. Really glad to see the site has done their due diligence as per usual. Matt the manager and the assistant manager are openly gay. You guys are spreading false gossip about a business that actually supports us, well done.

  8. I totally thought this story was fake with a hidden agenda so I used my best friend Google Search and found their phone number and called them asking to make a group dinner reservation for 8 guests for tonight, the lady I spoke to was very sweet and professional at the beginning of our conversation and told me they would be able to fit us in at 7pm, I gave her all my information to complete my reservation and got a confirmation, then I informed her it was for an LGBT Board Dinner Meeting and that’s when the tone of the conversation changed dramatically. I was told "Please HOLD" and then the lady said "Sadly we wont be able to accommodate your reservation at this time" I asked why the sudden change and I was told me it was a decision the general manager Mat had made. I asked to speak to him and was told I could email him with my questions or concerns. I'm SHOCKED! Call them yourselfs if you don't believe this article! 1-310-432-2000

    2. Maybe they know about this circus and they don’t want to let this “lets all dress in drag and show them” make a joke out of their business. its not because you are gay, its because this site is telling people to do exactly what you did, and thats the last thing the business wants- to let someone walk in and pick a fight.

  10. Had dinner there on Wednesday with my best friend, we're both gay and flamers -- we met a Kimberly who was British and lovely. I find this hard to believe.

  11. Was there for my birthday, with my boyfriend, and another gay couple. Everything re staff treatment was fine. The food, considering the price, and reputation, was so so.

  12. Maybe they stopped serving the couple because they had too much too drink and became obnoxious?

  13. i've been here lots of times, almost always with other gays. very often, loud obnoxious drunk gays. we order overpriced food and drinks, and receive the food with smiling service. finding this anti-gay allegation very unlikely to be true. the place is a total rip-off, but it's not anti-gay.
