Lucas John "Reads" West Hollywood City Hall over New Parking Restrictions

How could we resist sharing this gem!!!

Apparently this bossy bottom doesn't give up with out a fight. In case you haven't heard the bad news there is no longer free parking in WeHo on Sunday Funday. You will also have to pay to park after 6pm all nights of the week. Thanks to council members Heilman, Land, Prang & Duran. Let's not forget to thank the city manager & staff!!

Read until they are RED child!!

  1. I understand this is very upsetting. I do agree with Lucas however, It's unbecoming of him to cuss at a function like this. you won't get what you want by being offensive. You are trying to get your point across but now everyone on that council is only focusing on how you just offended them and not really paying attention to what you're saying. Just a thought.

    1. I agree. It's unfortunate it went the way it did & that he lost his "cool" - however, the 5 zombies behind the council desk sitting on their vibrating dildos, thinking about their next "trick" after the mtg, probably wouldn't have heard a thing had he been "Miss Manners" - this subject makes me sick to my stomach, when I lived in Weho I just walked everywhere, so no need for parking, but now, coming as a "visitor" I rely on the free parking, especially since I don't have a monthly budget to be paying $10/nite for parking their structures. It seems like the "Council" would like to have all of us that make less than $100K+ rounded up and exterminated - my money is for the bars, go go boys, the cafes, restaurants, shops, etc, NOT parking &/or even cover charges (don't get me started on that subject) $4 for bottled water & they want me pay them to come inside??? Back to Parking, if they made the structures $3 or less I would gladly figure out a way to budget that in, but not $10 - & WHY did they get rid of all the meters on San Vicente in front of the PDC? IDIOTS! I guess it's time to start looking for other places to "Play" :(

  2. Agreed. You pretty much lost all your credibility once you started cursing and being offensive.

  3. Tell Miss John that the City provides free parking for the alcohol and drug center. Maybe she can hit a meeting and get some help for her problem with Tina.

  4. L.J. was not cute, funny or clever. (Well, she is cute, but not here). It is just parking meters for Christ's sake and his cursing at members of council was embarrassing for him and insulting to everyone in attendance. This type of behavior only denigrates the process and makes the opposition look ridiculous. So no thank you to him for his behavior. Geez, what a Queen! Hope his bf charges him for the lube.

  9. im with Lucas on this one. what dont you people understand? these politicians wont listen to your say anyway if you were polite. They pretend to be nice, but are they?
and it's not about a dollar or 50 cents, it's the greedy city council wants money. it maybe a dollar increase for you, but it's 3-4 mil every year for them. Andwhy would they enforce on Sunday? just for the sake of additional revenue thats supposed to be only good at spending on the city's transportation but i bet you'll never see a difference.

  10. bottom line, there are more reasons to not have to require metered parking during evenings and sundays than there are reasons to have them. Im curiosu as to why they feel the need to charge? what's their reason, how is this helping, us or the community other than providing more opportunities to hand out a parking ticket?

  11. What they really want to do is write parking tickets if you're a minute late. That's where the real money is.

  14. Give 'em hell Lucas! That was awesome. also, you are probably the cutest guy to have ever made public comments at that godforsaken city council. And oh, yes, your comments were completely legitimate and your point would not have been as strongly made if you would have kept it all queeny and polite. love that you called them out for their own parking privileges, which inevitably warps their views and limits their empathy to the rest of us.

  15. The fact that people are complaining about parking meters.. Really? This is California. How many major cities have you visited that have free parking in their major locations? And as someone already pointed out, if you live in the city, you can probably walk for free to wherever it is that you want to go. Parking meters help bring revenue from other cities. If you guys are stupid enough to think that this is going to raise the pay of the council members... lol.

  16. I've never had so much respect for Lucas John. Lucas, I really do wish you did not curse during your speech, because it really just took away focus from the main issue, but next time I see you, I WILL shake your hand for going to that Council Meeting and speaking your mind. Good job!

  17. I have never met Lucas but I have always hated him until now. I still hate the guy but at least he was there speaking. The test of us are just watching, after the fact.

  18. Lucas tries! That's more than I can say most of you people here.

  20. When is the last time any of you found a free place to park in boystown on any night of the week? All of the employees and a few lucky early birds show up at or a little before 6 and hog all the free spaces all night, and by 7 pm anyone else who arrives is shit out of luck and has to park in a garage even if they are only grabbing dinner or a quick drink. By charging for the meters until midnight that will ensure there is some turnover for the short term parkers, and the employees can park using the new employee permits on the roof at Pavilions. And anyone showing up around 10 PM will probably be able to find a parking spot on the street and will only pay $3 and will be able to stay for the rest of the night. Thinking about it logically, this policy will be a good thing. You'll see.

This policy has nothing to do with a money grab and everything to do with good parking management. Why should the meters turn off just because it gets dark? The businesses are still open, and in fact there is more demand for parking in boystown after dark. The current policy makes no sense, and the new policy makes tons of sense when you think about it.

I want Lucas' fucking trolley! No one should be driving in Boystown after dark anyway. It's begging for a parking ticket at least, a DUI or some bigger catastrophe at worst.
I hope Lucas does this all the time. and forgets his meds next time.
READ those FUCKERS, LuLu! They need to be taught the TRUTH.
