Evolution Fridays bid Farewell to Paul Nicholls

According to reliable inside sources Paul Nicholls is no longer promoting Fridays at Evolution fka the Factory.  With Paul's expanding promotions in Las Vegas with Stripper Circus on Friday & Matinee Las Vegas it seems he's pursuing other ventures but knowing Paul it won't be the last we see of his a$$ on Friday Nights in WeHo.... After all he did launch Fresh, Hype & Evolution.

The new Friday Night promoter has yet to be named but that doesn't mean he hasn't been identified by yours truly!

  2. Nobody cares who the promoter is at these parties. Advertise on facebook, hire some hot shirtless bartenders and have monkeys dance on a box for dollar bills and you have yourself a night in weho.

  5. The only people who care about this are the promoters themselves and the people who mooch off the promoters. No one actually going out in weho gives a shit who promotes a party.

    2. No honey, YOU are lost. You've obviously made poor life decisions which have led to this this point in your life where you think people give a shit about a club promoter.

  6. Luke is a pompous ass, but obviously much better at his job than both Tom Shitman and Paul Dickles, both of whom got the boot by the owners of the place due to Luke's far more successful nights. #duh #moneytalksbullshitwalks

  8. Lets not forget Popular ....wasnt he in on that.... and started Tigerheat, Heaven, anything fun and with longevity. He is the BEST HOST of all the promoters. Try saying hi to Tom on one of his nights. Or watch woody com pain how tired he is on one of his...... Paul is the best promoter LA has. He cares what goes on, who daces, shows up, carries out his ideas, is happy to say hello and does his job rather well. And open to suggestion... he deserves an award.

  11. Oh West Hollywood... Lets be honest with ourselves now shall we? Paul's events are exactly that. They're Paul's. Stripper Circus, Hooker Casino, Matinee, Hype, Stripper Circus Vegas etc... They are all exactly the same. Same faces, same theme, same ideas... nothing changes except the name. You've been to one Paul Party. You've been to them all. Luke's events are a tad bit different. He has built a success for himself. But with once exclusive Mr. Black turn trendy city. That exclusive underground theme went out the window. He wasn't always successful. His clubs have had their ups and down. People forget "Duke" at Fubar thrown by him and Cody Bayne, Which was pretty much the replacement for Redlight Saturdays... and it was pretty much Redlight with Blue lights and some steel fencing added in. He also had "Simon Says" at the Standard. With low attendance and high drink prices... Eventually crashed and burned. Now he plays it safe. His events are successful in the degree that they draw a crowd and the club makes money. So In that reference he is a great promoter. They both are. But what their club nights lack is what sets club nights apart. A fun crowd, underground like exclusivity, and a whirl wind of fun. Neither promoter is delivery this type of success. They draw in the pretentious crowd, the bridge and tunnel queens of the 818, 626, 909 etc. They are no Studio 54. I define susess of an event by the crowd and atmosphere and also. the FUCKING MUSIC. I miss the days of DaDa Dance Hous at Medusa's Lounge, Shits and Giggles, Dance Bitch, Beige, and RedLight. The club scene is ever changing. They are both great promoters. And i wish them both he best. But if you looking to attend a party and get an edge on the curve of trendy... the east side is the place to do it. Go see Victor Rodriguez or Chris Bowen Dj. Check out Ginger or BFD at Fubar. Riley More always delivers amazing sets. Mustache Mondays in down town etc... There are far more better events happening in LA. Remember Queens... you won't melt if you go east of Fairfax, I promise.

    1. Thank you! I'm not the only one who thinks Weho clubs are run over by bridge and tunnel 909ers, especially the Abbey and Rasputin. Is is permanently Latin night at these places?
